Use:  Lovely specimen - good to plant where accessible from all sides for viewing and pruning (annual removal of any dead stems); back of bed in mass plantings but can be transparent (if kept cleaned up) so also works in mid to front of bed; moderately spiny branches.  Especially nice with other blue-foliaged plants (hostas, etc.) or pink flowers
