PLANT PROFILE:
Vine grows 2.5-3m [8-10ft] tall and needs to climb a structure or shrub.  It blooms from July until frost producing lovely large flower clusters of pink (occasionally white).  Ideally planted in rich, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade, Lathyrus latifolium will die to the ground in winter cold, and emerge in mid-spring.  Great cut flowers, although not as fragrant as their cousin Lathyrus odoratus.  Drought tolerant.
