Bloom:  July-September, large (5-8cm) silvery-mauve "daisies" with purple centers; durable

Light: Full sun (native to South Africa)

Water: No extra. Can withstand heat and drought

Soil: Sharp and gritty, well drained, especially around crown

  • Stunning plants.  Survives wet winters here in Nova Scotia, but benefits from shelter and gravel mulch (it has a deep taproot; be sure base of crown does not become exposed) and must have excellent drainage.  Exceptionally lovely when complemented with dark purple and light yellow companions.
