Ruta graveolens (Rue, Herb-of-Grace)
Traditions include culinary and medicinal uses, but it is toxic and must be use with caution and knowledge. In Peru, a boquet of rue is always found behind the front doors of small shops to "bring in business", but it may also be repelling unwanted forces. In the Mediterranean area it is said to be a protection against evil spirits and diseases.
