PLANT PROFILE:
Growth:  Open, loosely curled, deeply lobed leaves are a rich rosy maroon colour that always gives great contrast to any food context.  Harvest outside leaves as needed.  Performs best in cool (spring, fall season) full sun, but ORSB is slow to bolt and stays sweeter longer.  Providing dappled shade as summer heat stresses lettuces will prolong their edibility before they stretch to bloom, go to seed and become bitter tasting.
