Foliage:  Rich, velvety green, deeply lobed young leaves are edible fresh giving salads, sandwiches, pizza, etc. a tangy/sweet umami taste.  As leaves age they become more pungent and peppery
Bloom: Plants bolt (flower) in hot weather and/or when stressed, but ivory-coloured flowers can be used as garnish, giving a pungent, peppery flavor to food; seed pods are also edible and very tangy
Light:  Full sun, but partial shade can extend edibility 
Water:  Moderate (again, adequate water can minimize stress and extend eibility)
Soil:  Fertile, average garden soil with excellent drainage
