  • Baptisia forms a herbaceous 'bush', that benefits from a clipping after blooming, to keep nice form. Seedpods, if left on, form black pods which, when harvested on the stem, are used in decorative floral arrangements.  This is a nitrogen-fixing plant in the Fabacea family.
